Moocow Cottage Harden Accessible Accommodation offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. Nestled in the idyllic hills near the historical towns of Jugiong and Harden Murrumburrah, it's a perfect stopover point between Sydney and Melbourne. It has two bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 people. The Main bedroom contains a queen size bed and is 1500 mm from wall to bed each side ample space for wheelchair and walker. The Second bedroom contains two king single beds 900mm from wall to bed  able to wheelchair forward and back. There is also a pull out sofa which is 1700mm wide ( queen or large double) and is situated in the family area/room end.

Just 15 kms from the Hume Highway this cozy retreat is easily accessible with bitumen roads yet feels worlds away from the stresses of city life. Thoughtfully designed to accommodate those with mobility needs featuring 2 generously sized bedrooms large open plan living and kitchen area and extra large bathroom with implements for assistance. The cottage has accessibility ramps and easy access to gardens and entertainment areas and all doorways in the cottage are measured at 800mm and 1700mm.

Once entering the fully secure yard there is a two car covered carport with pathway into cottage. It sleeps 6 people comfortably with 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the family room. Elevated covered verandas sweep around the cottage giving stunning views of the Cumbamurra River and surrounding hills. There are birds and wildlife and cows. A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal and there is a paved barbecue area with seating.  The bathroom is designed for people with disabilities grab rails and adjustable shower chair (regular size commode chair and raised toilet seat available). Electric blankets are fitted to all beds for your comfort. 

The outdoor fire pit is perfect to gather around in the winter months and is wheelchair friendly ( however cannot be used in summer due to bushfire risk). There are native shrubs which attract the birds and veggie gardens for your enjoyment.

Activities in and around Moocow Cottage Harden Accessible Accommodation

he nearby township of Harden Murrumburrah has a few annual events such as the Harden Picnic Races and the Kite Festival family friendly events held at the Harden racecourse. Both events showcase local produce in stalls and have rides. The township is also part of the popular silo and gold trail. The old flour mills in Murrumburrah are painted in the district’s heritage history a theme of wool wheat and gold. Young the cherry capital of Australia is only a 40 minute drive away and you pass through Harden. It is  a stunning place to visit in spring when the blossoms are in bloom and the canola in flower. 

Jugiong boasts its historic Sir George Tavern and Long Track Pantry and offers a variety of delicious food. There are also a few speciality shops to indulge yourself. 

Also there is Gundagai and the famous Dog on the Tuckerbox is a short drive of 45kms down the Hume Highway or you may wish to visit the Tumut 68 km away or the Mount Selwyn snow fields 144kms away and check out the snow or the beautiful brumbies.
