Mermaids View Beach House, Cape Bridgewater, Accessible Accommodation, is an accessible three-bedroom holiday house with stunning ocean views from the living room and two bedrooms.  The main bathroom is step-free but has no shower seat or grab rails. The second bathroom is a large, open-plan bathroom with a step-free double shower (one set of shower and one hand shower), a fold-down shower chair, grab rails, and a disability toilet with a fold-down stability rail and a 90-degree grab rail. The second accessible bathroom is not in the main house but in a second building connected to it via a protected, undercover pergola. (See video tour). The distance between the house and the door to the bathroom is 8m.  The property is pet-friendly, and there is a dog door for convenience.

The bathroom entrances comply with Australian standards. There is a slight lip at the entry which has a portable ramp and another at the patio ( see video tour); however, this can also be accessed step-free around the sides of the property (see video tour). The accessible bathroom is accessed via an undercover patio. The shower in the accessible bathroom has two shower heads. One is fixed, and the other is handheld, adjustable, at a distance from the shower chair but within reach when removed from the shower rail.

This three-bedroom beach house is all on one level with concrete paths around the house, ramped entrances and a large open-plan accessible bathroom, plus a modern, fully appointed kitchen with indoor and outdoor dining areas. A great base to explore the South West of Victoria or to just sit and enjoy the ever- changing views of the Ocean and coastal countryside. Snug and warm in winter with floor heating and separate heating and cooling in the accessible bathroom. There is a large bathroom with a no-step shower in the house, and a larger accessible open-plan bathroom separate from the house, connected via a covered pergola.

Overlooking beautiful Bridgewater Bay, this modern 3-bedroom house offers everything you need for a beach holiday. A short 300m walk to a protected surf patrolled beach and a short drive to multiple surfing breaks, the perfect getaway for any season.

The property has two large undercover outdoor areas with a BBQ. The house is surrounded by lawns and a gentle slope down to a large chessboard at the bottom of the garden. The beach at the bottom of the hill ( 400m ), is a safe swimming beach with weekend Surf Patrols and is accessible by ramps. There is a cafe on the beach and several public BBQ's and tables all with wheelchair accessibility. Portland is 20 km away and offers a Motor Museum, a Maritime Museum, and daily shopping options. There are many short and longer walks along the coast and through the regional forests.
