This special home-away-from-home has been designed to nurture you and the environment. Built in 2020 overlooking the tranquil wetlands near Port Elliot and just minutes from pristine beaches, this 7-star energy-efficient holiday home meet NDIS Fully Accessible disability standards to maximize your comfort any time of the year. It truly is a sunny nook in winter, and a shady nook in summer. Sunnynook is reserved for people with disabilities or the elderly. Note there is only air-conditioning in the living room.

There is an accessible footpath to the bikeway a few doors down. (The path is not presently accessible from the rear yard of the property).

The space

Sunnynook has a good selection of books, games and DVDs, as well as Netflix and Alexa to entertain you, or just sit out on the patio and watch the world go by – literally – with the Encounter Bikeway right outside your door running along the wetlands.

Guest access

Guests have full access to Sunnynook. To maximise independence, Sunnynook features the latest in smart technology and home automation. Doors automatically open with a press of a button and voice commands control lighting and climate.
Because we want those who are restricted in their mobility to get to enjoy all the special accessibility features, Sunnynook is reserved for people with limited mobility.

Sleeps up to 12 guests.

Bedroom 1:1 king bed with an electric profiling bed, with plenty of space to manoeuvre. Worry-free sleep with their pressure-care mattress on an adjustable king bed.
Bedroom 2: 1 queen bed
Bedroom 3: 2 single beds (Twin king-singles) that can be placed together or apart.
Bedroom 4: Sleep six in the kid’s bunk room with two bunk beds and trundles. Ideal for Support staff and families with children.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not wish to use the pressure mattress in bedroom 1, it can be deflated, and the spare trundle mattress can be placed on top of the bed. In this instance (as a trundle mattress is in use, the property would sleep 10 guests. The trundle mattress is easy to move.
