Located off the Lincoln Causeway near Gateway Village, between Albury and Wodonga, the Gateway Island Parklands stretches 10 kilometres of river frontage along the mighty Murray River. The local Farmers Market is held at the village every second Saturday.
The parklands offer four walking trails: Crossing Place Trail, Gateway Island Circuit, Gateway Wetlands and Gateway Island West.
The Monument Hill War Memorial sits atop the hill at the western end of Albury’s main street, providing stunning views of the city and the surrounding region.
Designed by architect Louis Harrison, the monument was unveiled on Anzac Day in 1925 in dedication to the men and women who served in World War l. A short distance below the Monument is a Memorial Bowl to honour the men and women who served in World War ll.
