At Accessible Accommodation, we make it simpler (and a whole lot less stressful) to find and book places that match your needs — with clear, factual information so you can arrive confident, not “fingers-crossed hopeful”.

Whether you’re planning a holiday, travelling for medical and hospital visits, organising Short-Term Respite (STR), or needing Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) during home modifications, you’ll find verified options across Australia — plus New Zealand and Bali.

"We have engaged the unique and essential services of Accessible Accommodation for a few of our travels within Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales over the last few years. I am always confident from the website information and pictures that the accommodation will have the accessibility as described."

Why book with Accessible Accommodation?

1. Verified by people who “get it”

Our team includes people with lived experience of disability and carers — so we understand what you’re really asking when you ask “Is it accessible

2. Truly Verified Properties

Every listing undergoes a multi-point verification process to confirm accessibility features. Every listed property is assessed with 50+ accessibility questions, detailed photos, and video tours — including practical checks such as bed height and door width measurements to verify disability accommodation and senior-friendly easy-access accommodation.

3. Real detail, not vague claims

Get granular details, not just a checkbox. Know the bed height, clear door widths, bathroom grab rail locations, whether the pool is accessible, whether there is an electric bed or hoist, and more.

4. Search filters that match how you travel

Use filters to narrow down features that matter to you (such as shower chair type, equipment needs, or pet-friendly options) — and get to the right shortlist faster.

5. Book your way — DIY or Booking Concierge Service

With Accessible Accommodation’s booking platform, you can book online where available, or get help from our Booking Agents (who also have lived experience of disability). If you’ve got STR funding in your NDIS plan, you may also be able to organise eligible stays through your supports.

6. Guaranteed accessible room

We provide a guarantee that you will stay in an accessible room type. There are two ways we achieve this. Either choose listings with an “Instant Book” / “Request to Book” option, or email us if you see an enquiry-only button, and we will ensure you check into the accessible accommodation option.

Some listings may show both accessible and non-accessible room types (for carers and other family members) — accessible rooms are clearly labelled in the room title.

Our Four Tiers of Accreditation

Because there’s no “one size fits all” in accessibility, we use four tiers to help you quickly identify what may suit your needs:

Tier 2: Independent Wheelchair User
