Cancellation policy

Welcome to our home by the bay at Victoria Point! We hope that you create wonderful memories here. We have put in place some house rules below for your safety as well as ours. Please take a moment to read these house rules and we truly appreciate your cooperation!

1. Profile Photo or ID Verification
Security and lawful conduct are paramount to us. Hosts need to know who stay at their property. Please provide us a copy of the photo IDs of the guests before check-in. This is to make sure my guest meets the minimum age requirement for the booking and to confirm that the guests visiting are actually the registered guests. We reserve the right for cancellation of the booking if this is not provided before the check-in.

2. Check-in and Check-out times
Check-in (2:00 – 5:00pm) Check-out (before 10:00am) If you need to check-in or check-out beyond these times, please send us a request to check for availability before booking.

3. Parking
There is free street parking in front of our property. We also have a gated private parking that can be used by our guests. If private parking is requested, we will provide you the lock numbers for the parking gate before check-in time. The car parking gates open outward to the street. Please use the bricks provided to hold them in place while you are driving in. Please put the bricks back to where they were and do not leave the gates open outward to block the footpath.

4. Pets
Sorry, pet is not allowed at the moment. However, we welcome guests who need to bring their service dog with them e.g. a guide dog.

5. Smoking and Drugs
No illegal drugs of any prescription. Smoking is not allowed in our premise, either indoor or outdoor.

6. Footwear Indoors
Please keep your footwear outside at the patio area on the rainy day or after walking to the sandy beach. The red soil in this area leaves permanent stain on carpet or area rug.

7. Eating Areas
Please do not eat in the bedrooms.

8. Doors, Windows and Fly Screens
Please make sure you close all doors and windows when you are leaving the guest suite. There are windows with fly screens throughout the guest suite. You are welcome to open the windows to enjoy the nice sea breeze but we ask our guests to open those windows with the fly screen only. We would like to avoid uninvited animal and insect to enter the guest suite.

9. Parties or Unregistered Visitors
We live in a quiet neighbourhood. Only registered guests are allowed in our premise. No party or event is allowed.

10. Extra Guests
Please make sure you have booked the correct number of guests at the booking. The advertised per night fee is based on 2 people. Extra guest fee of $25 per person per night apply.

11. Check Out Procedure
1) Make sure all appliances and lights are turned off, except the fridge and all taps are tightly closed.
2) Remove all left over from fridge and freezer and leave clean. Check microwave and oven for crumbs etc.
3) Clean all cutlery, crockery and pots, pans, utensils that’s been used OR at least put them into the dishwasher ready for cleaner to start the wash cycle.
4) Tie rubbish bags and put rubbish in red top bin and recyclables in yellow top bin at the backyard.
5) Please leave all towels, dirty tea towels in the laundry basket provided. No need to make your bed. It is going to be stripped.
6) Please keep remotes on their keepers. Lost remotes must be replaced at guest’s expense.
7) Please leave the key on the kitchen bench. Make sure all windows and doors are locked when you leave.

12. Outdoor and Shared Area
We will minimize our use of the patio and courtyard areas when guests stay at our guest suite. However, we may need to access to the courtyard to clean and water our plants. Garden and backyard where the cloth lines located are shared areas. While guests are welcome to enjoy our garden, littering, picking or cutting plants or produces from the garden and vegetable garden are prohibited. Please do not enter the outdoor lane way where we have 'Do Not Enter' sign on.

13. Privacy
We respect your privacy and we expected you to respect ours as well. The guest suite is attached to our home and separated with a locked door. Please be mindful with keeping the noise down as we work from home and our property is located at a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood.

14. Quiet Hours
9:00pm – 7:00am

15. Security
There are outdoor security cameras at the property. All smoke alarms are interlinked throughout the property.

16. Damages & Lost keys or remotes
Please look after the properties at our guest suites, including keys, locks and remotes. Damaged or lost items will incur a replacement fee and will be billed to the guests and reported to Airbnb. For the keys, a $150 locksmith fee will be charged for the change of lock and replacement of the key.

Please note that adhering to these rules is a requirement of the terms and conditions of our rental agreement. We reserve the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit or other penalties.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY
A) For booking less than 28 days
• Guests can get full refund if they cancel the booking 5 days prior to the arrival.
• No refunds for cancellation within 5 days of check-in.

B) For booking for stays 28 nights or longer
Full refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable.
