Riverside Resort Urunga Accessible Accommodation offers multiple wheelchair-accessible units in a resort with a gorgeous pool that features a mobility chair lift. Riverside Resort now offers 5 wheelchair-accessible apartments – & 21 ground-floor accessible (assisted Walking) apartments.

Wheelchair accessible units have designated parking spaces outside of each unit. These car spaces measure 2.9m in width with back access. All paths throughout the complex are flat ( no stairs) and easily accessible from the car park to units.

There are 21 ground floor accessible units with a small lip/step at the 760mm wide front door. (Ideal for the assisted walking category).

All units have 2 bedrooms (bedroom one a queen bed and bedroom two 2 singles) an open plan kitchen, dining and living rooms. Tv’s have closed-caption capabilities. The Resort can arrange any equipment such as bed lifts, mobility aids/scooters, wheelchairs and toilet aids to be delivered to your unit from Willaid Coffs Harbour (at guests expense).

At this accessible accommodation in Urunga,  Riverside Holiday Resort has a large saltwater pool with a dolphin mobility chair lift available if you require help getting in and out of the pool. Located next to the pool gate (on the outside of the pool area) is an accessible toilet with a doorway 900mm wide. There are 2 undercover BBQ areas with pool or river views, each has 2 electric BBQs. They have fabricated table and bench seats so wheelchairs can fit either end under the 780mm high table.

The resort has accommodated such events as –  North West New England Special Olympics &  Surfing for the disabled.
