The French House is a new architect-designed villa, built specially for spacious (2,000 sq ft) and easy living, with a great pool. The house has 3 double/twin bedrooms all of which have en-suite bathrooms and flat-floored "wet-room" style showers (a shower wheelchair is on-site). There is a huge, 800 square feet, living area with a log fire and all the creature comforts, together with a large and superbly fitted kitchen, including dishwasher, "American" fridge/freezer with ice and water dispensers, hob, oven, microwave and everything you need.
There is Sat-tv, DVD, VHS, Bose CD/radio, iPod dock and Wi-Fi broadband, all available free to guests.
All the doorways are 95 cms wide, bathrooms have grab-bars, all surfaces (including the terraces and pool) are flat with plenty of room to manoeuver a wheelchair. There is posh indoor dining for six, and a large table outdoors on the shaded terrace with loads of chairs for al-fresco meals. Outside features a sunny garden and a brilliant pool with terraces front and rear and a permanent built-in tiled barbecue for those long summer evenings. There are loungers for the sun and a big parasol for shade
The village and surroundings are a delight, with all the services that you require locally, including local shops, cafes and an excellent supermarket. There is ready access to the coast and the magnificent nearby Parc Naturel, whose stunning scenery offers mountains, woods, lakes and tumbling rivers, whilst the world heritage site of the Canal du Midi is only a few miles away with its flat tree-shaded banks,cafes and picnic spots.
