Strategically located on the borders of Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio, Fattoria di Rentica is a twenty minute drive from Orvieto with its stunning cathedral, medieval architecture and delicious wine, half an hour from the papal residence in the town of Viterbo with its health spas and only forty minutes to the Mediterranean coast. Discover the archaeological treasures of the Etruscans; there are many heritage sites within less than an hour's drive from the house. Assisi, Todi, Spoleto, Perugia and Florence are all within easy reach and Rome is a convenient hour's train journey from Orvieto (car park). This area is also renowned for its gastronomic excellence: vegetables fresh from the garden, roast wild boar and hare sauce on homemade 'pappardelle', fish fresh from the lake. Taste famous wines produced locally including Orvieto and Est! Est!! Est!!! The fattoria di Rentica organic estate produces its own wine and olive oil which the owners will be delighted to share with you.

Fattoria di Rentica is an extremely spacious country house. On the ground floor there is a hall, a large attractively furnished living/dining room with a stone fireplace that can seat 20 people and a professionally fully equipped kitchen. There are also two double/twin bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. A stone staircase from the hall leads up to the first floor where there is a cosy reading room and a large loggia with superb views over Bolsena Lake. The loggia is elegantly furnished with garden furniture and makes an ideal spot for al fresco dining and drinks. Four further double/twin bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, are on this floor. Opposite the main house is a lovely converted barn with four more double/twin bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. These bedrooms all have private verandas opening onto well-kept lawns and stunning views over the lake and the countryside. A short stroll through an olive grove brings you out onto our beautiful pool area with sun beds and bar service.
