Location

The cottage is situated just outside of a small village called Boliqueime (approximately 300 meters), that has three village pubs, a couple of Cafés, a couple of mini-markets and restaurants. You can view many kilometres of beautiful coastline from the house, it is just a 5 kilometres drive to the beaches, marina and golf courses at Vilamoura. Albufeira is also only a short drive and it is 20 minutes to Faro airport.

 

Accommodation

This new but traditional 3 bedroom property, has been very tastefully designed and built to suit wheelchair users needs - by the owner, himself in a wheelchair.

The house is a conversion from an old country cottage with individually controlled air conditioning/ heating in every room. As Casinhas is also fully wheelchair friendly, with wheel-in showers, a fold down shower seat and there is also a shower chair as an alternative.

It consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with wheel-in showers (1 en-suite) and a fully equipped wheelchair friendly kitchen with breakfast bar and open plan dining area. The lounge opens up on to a shaded terrace and on to the gently ramped swimming pool (salt water) area, with its wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, Vilamoura and down to the sea. The village of Boliqueime, with a few shops and bars, is 300 metres downhill!

As Casinhas is entirely on one level and all rooms are fully accessible. There are individual air conditioning units in every room (heating and cooling) and two wood burners, for the cooler end of season evenings. The front terrace is shaded and is a great place to sit outside to eat or simply enjoy the great views.

The swimming pool is ramped to make access easier and a shower chair is available for clients to use to get in and out of the pool.
