Our villa is located on the unique 4* Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise, one of the most attractive tourist areas on Lanzarote and preferred destination for families visiting the island.
The resort has it own private beach front and sea-water fed lagoon which is very safe children. There are 6 individually named plazas each with its own large gently sloping pool and separate children's pool, with plenty of sun loungers and parasols around each one. This means that even in the Summer months the pools and sunbeds are never too busy, so no need to get up at the crack of dawn to put the towels out.
There are many on-site facilities including, 2 restaurants, 2 bars, gym and health spa, supermarket, internet cafe, kids club, games room and nightly entertainment.
With all the on-site facilities there is really no need to leave the resort, but with the town and award winning Las Cucharas beach just a 5 minute walk away it is well worth a visit. The town has some excellent restaurants, tapas bars, bars and shops.
The villa itself has its own private patio with garden and BBQ area and it is furnished with a table, 4 chairs and parasol, making it perfect for Al fresco dining. The swimming pools are just a few metres away from the patio which makes for a very relaxing holiday - imagine sunbathing and being able to just nip back into the villa for a drink or some nibbles!
There are 3 plazas on each level and there are ramps between each level. Our villa is located on the top level and this is where you will find the reception/supermarket and bars, so everything is close by. All the pools on the resort are gently sloping so it is very safe and easy to enter any of them. We have found it great for our disabled son who we wheel into the swimming pool on his manual wheelchair or shower chair. The whole resort is wheelchair accessible apart from one bar.
The villa itself can sleep up to 6 people and consists of one bedroom with a double bed, a pull-down double bed hidden with a mirrored wardrobe in the dining area, and a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge area. Cots can also be provided.
The spacious fully-tiled shower room/wet room has a walk-in shower with a fold-down seat and there is a toilet with handrails on either side. There is a seperate vanity area with twin recessed hand basins set in marble, surrounded by full width mirrors. There is also a shelf for toiletries and a hair dryer.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and 4-ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, wine rack and breakfast bar with stools. The dining room has a table and 4 chairs. There is also satellite TV and a DVD player.
