On the shore of Lake Trasimeno, in Umbria /Tuscany, lies the Villa La Rogaia. Our holiday apartments „La Nostalgia“ and "Il Peperino" are wheelchair friendly: groundfloor access, wide doors, ample space in all rooms, wheelchair friendly bathroom facilities, easy access to terraces.
Door width: 0.9 yd.
Bathrooms: Shower to be wheeled in straight, shower chair with flexible height. Toilet height 0.55 yd; Space next to toilet left 0.27 yd, right 1.18 yd. Handles will be placed according to need. Wash basin to be wheeled straight under, visibility in mirror from sitting position.
Space next to bed 1.64 yd. Height of bed (with matress) 0.59 yd.
Two of our smaller apartments ("La Pipo" and "La Grapo") also have groundfloor access, but are not as spacious. "La Pipo" has a low shower which however cannot be wheeled in straight. "La Grapo" only has a bath tub.
The paths around the house are partly paved with cotto tiles or natural stone plates, partly cemented and partly covered with gravel. Some paths are going up or downhill. The minimum width of the garden paths is 0.65 yd.
The swimming pool is accessible with a wheelchair however depending on the degree of disability you might need assistance to get there. There is no lift to get into the pool.
