Our property is situated in the hills and surrounded by fields with trees of fig, almond, olive and carob. The area is quiet but not too isolated, away from the hustle and bustle but only fifteen minutes drive from the resort town of Albufeira.
Five minutes drive away there is the small town of Ferreiras which has a supermarket - daily fresh fish, fruit and vegetable market – shops, bars and restaurants. The hillside village of Paderne is 2kms away, with small shops, bars and restaurants. Many of the Algarve’s beautiful beaches can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes. There is also a large shopping mall with restaurants, cinemas and bowling alley within a 15 minute drive. Within walking distance - at the bottom of a hill - there is the local café/bar and two restaurants .
ACCOMMODATION
The cottages can be rented individually or are ideal for a larger family or group. They are wheelchair friendly, all doors are wide. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge and dining area with a table and four chairs. In each cottage the lounge has Freeview satellite TV with UK channels, DVD player, radio and cd player plus a selection of books and board games. The kitchenette is fitted with a two ring electric hob, microwave oven, fridge, toaster, kettle etc.
On the ground floor of JACARANDA there is a spacious bedroom with a king size bed and en suite shower room – no bath - with toilet and wash basin. Transfer from wheelchair to toilet can be done from the right and has grab rail on the right.
Upstairs each cottage can accommodate two children (with this being in the attic space there is limited headroom) there are twin beds and a room with toilet and wash basin. These rooms are not wheelchair accessible.
WISTERIA has a bedroom on the ground floor with two three quarter size beds (a little larger than a single bed for extra comfort) and has an en suite shower room – no bath - with toilet and wash basin. Transfer from wheelchair to toilet can be done from the left and the grab rail is on the left. As in JACARANDA upstairs can accommodate two children.

OUTSIDE
There is a small ramp from the level parking area which leads through a one metre wide gate into the ga rden with level pathways to each cottage. The holiday cottages are in close proximity to our own house. They overlook the enclosed walled garden with lawns, barbeque and swimming pool which is ideal for children as it has a large area of shallow water at one metre level. There is a ramp up to the pool area, with hoist available. The pool is a ‘clean water pool’ which is chlorine and salt free and is cleaned and filtered by using an ionised system, the pool is not heated, it is approx. 10m x 5m and the pool area has sun beds and is surrounded with railings and gated .
We would like to mention that there are dogs on the premises, they are friendly family dogs and isolated to our own terrace and house, generally they are quiet but like any dogs they will bark if they hear something.
As this is self catering accommodation no maid service is provided but linen would be changed weekly and towels twice weekly. Pool and beach towels are provided and a small hairdryer. There is a small utility room with washing machine and ironing facilities for client use.
