Located at the entrance of the Guadalhorce Valley the white village is easily reached from Malaga (20 miniutes) and Marbella (25 minutes).
The south east of the town is mountainous and the rest consist of plains. It has a very mild climate with light winds that blow predominately from the North and West. There is a lovely view over the "Hoya de Málaga" Malaga's valley, full of lemon trees and other fruit trees, which together looks like a vast carpet. Almost all the town streets are narrow and winding.
As always Fiestas are celebrated with gusto, Semana Santa (Holy Week), Corpus Christ, the Dia de la Virgen de Gracia on August 15th, and the feasts of San José and San Sebastián. Its most important monuments are the parish church of Our Lady of Grace, patron saint of the town, built upon the rest of an Arab fortress, and the hermitage of Saint Anton.
