The farmhouse is situated on the side of a hill in the hamlet of Aquilea. It has panoramic views of the valley and the national park in the distance. The views can only be described as stunning! The farm is an organic small holding with free range animals, olive groves, vegetables and fruit. They produce some of the electricity and hot water from solar panels. The house has been recently fully restore to a very high standard and can be rented out as one or as two separate units. Unit one has a kitchen/diner, bathroom and bedroom. Unit two has kitchen/diner, lounge, bathroom and two bedrooms. Outside is a area, for each unit, for those ' Al fresco ' meals. There is also a round, above the ground pool, to relax in. The owner speaks excellent English and will cook those real Tuscany dinners for 20 Euro per head. For an extra 25 Euro per head you could have a cookery lesson. The dinners and the cookery lesson are severed and done in the owner's part of the house.
A great base for travelling around Tuscany or a beautiful setting to just escape and relax. Only six miles from the historic walled city of Lucca, between Florence and Pisa. Within an hour of sunbathing on Viareggio’s beaches; canoeing and kayaking on the Lima river; exploring caves of the famous 1200m deep Antro del Corchia and Grotta del Vento at Fornovalasco, canyoning in the Orrido di Botri, seeing Michelangelo's Carrara marble quarries; enjoying the hot springs at Bagni di Lucca hot springs; or skiing in the wintertime. Avid shoppers may seek the myriad of outlet stores. If you like, we can pick you up at the train station in Lucca, bring you to the farmhouse to get settled, then loan you a car for exploring the Tuscan countryside. You can learn how to cook classic Italian dishes and, if you don’t feel like cooking, enjoy being served delicious catered meals. The choice is yours.
Our small "solar" farm offers 2 fully equipped and comfortable flats that will make you feel home as soon as you set foot inside. They are both extremely warm and welcoming. Each flat has its own independent entrance onto a beautiful terrace where you can relax or have dinner under a gazebo or taste lovely pizza cooked in the brick oven.
The flat: sleeps 4+2. On the ground floor there is the kitchen and the living room with a sofa bed for 2 people; on the second floor there are 2 bedrooms (one has 2 twin beds, but can easily be transformed into a double bedroom) and a large bathroom with shower and a bathtub. Next to the living room there's a door leading to the small flat that sleeps 2 people; therefore the 2 flats can be adjoined and become a large one with 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The studio is on the ground floor therefore it's wheelchair accessible and sleeps 2 people. It has a kitchenette, bathroom and living room with sleeping sofa.
The guests will find an above ground swimming pool (heated by solar panel) and while bathing and sunbathing will enjoy the most fantastic view of the surrounding landscape.
Our respect for the environment can also be seen in the way we have recently renovated the tourist accommodation and in the choice of a small and movable swimming pool as it does not have a deep environmental impact. We use solar panels for hot water and as a help in the heating, together with pellets and a wood boiler and a gazebo with a photovoltaic roof in the swimming pool area. We ask our guests and organise for them to separate rubbish

The guests will be welcome on their arrival in a common room, just opposite the brick oven, equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom. This space can be used by all the guests to cook their meals inside and outside in the brick oven, to have cooking lessons and to taste the typical meals prepared by the owners of the Agriturismo.
Here the guests will also find a free internet point.
