Accessible Rating

Accessible Property.

Only property that is accessible is permitted on this site.

 

Whilst we cannot inspect every property (we would love to though, think of the airmiles!!) we will leave the classification of a property to the owner, who knows the property the best,  but below we have a basic guide to accessibility ratings.    

Generally, property for inclusion on this site should be accessible with out problems to families with children, elderly and people with reduced mobility. And whilst properties that are fully accessible with no barriers to anybody are ideal we appreciate that it is not always possible to make a property fully compliant but maybe part of it is, and with that in mind we have the three classifications that property can be listed under on this site.   

If  you are a property owner place your property in the most suitable classification when adding your property and for travellers and those searching for Accessible Accommodation we trust the following descriptions allow you to choose the correct accommodation for your next holiday.   

ie, Three classes of accessibility for easy reference.    

E1 Grade

  A property with reasonably good level access to most facilities. One or two steps may be encounterd and some ramps may be in place. Standard Un-adpated bathrooms and bedrooms.  These properties make great holiday homes for families, who want children to be able to get about easy making a holiday aholiday for parents and not  chore. Plus there are expected to be more properties in this section giving a much wider choice of destination for your next holiday.

E2 Grade

A property with good wheelchair access to the main facilities. Use of some ramps is likely. Bathrooms are large enough for some wheelchairs to enter and turn, but are not necessarily adapted. There will be enough room to manouvre a wheelchair around the property and bedroom. More and More properties are being made to be able to be accommodated in this section. Whilst not completely wheelchair adapted the choice is still wide.

E3 Grade

Our most user friendly properties, with good wheelchair access throughout the key areas of the property. May be some ramps. Bathrooms have been significantly adapted and bedrooms offer room to manouvre a wheelchair and may feature some adaptions.  Properties with pool hoists automatically classify for E3 grade.  It is these properties that offer the most adaptability and access to wheelchair users.
